Patricia Lee Valdez passed away on Saturday, January 13th, 2024. She was born on May 13th, 1949, in the town of Springer, New Mexico. Patricia was a teacher for 40 years, known by her students as Ms. Valdez or Ms. Pat, and taught in schools all over the state including Questa, Moriarty, Tatum, and taught her last 10 years in Albuquerque at San Felipe de Neri Catholic School. She obtained multiple master’s degrees as well as an EED. Her passion and specialty was in reading but she loved her craft in general and the many lives she touched along the way. Known by her family as “Keek,” she was the most generous person you’d ever meet. She loved watching her soap operas and was an avid fan of her favorite television shows “Mom” and “Young Sheldon.” Patricia also had an affinity for sunflowers and birds. Some of her other favorite activities included weekly breakfasts, dinners, visits, and other get-togethers with her beloved sisters and other cherished family members, as well as sewing and spending time with her dog Brodie. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family. May she fly in peace among the birds and the clouds as she reunites and is comforted by all of those who have preceded her.
