Rebecca “Bella” Isabelita Marrujo, 5, passed away on August 2, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A Memorial Service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with reception to follow at the Serenity Club, located at 1000 E. Bland St. in Roswell, New Mexico. In honor of Bella, her family encourages everyone who attends her service, wear bright colors, preferably pink or purple. Bella was a light in this world and to her family, she should be celebrated as such.
On October 9, 2018, Rebecca “Bella” Marrujo was born to Toby Marrujo and Rebecca Rodriguez. Bella was a gift to her parents and to everyone who had the pleasure of being around her. She welcomed everyone with her precious smile and warm hugs. She did not know a stranger and wanted to love on everyone. Bella was a pure and innocent soul, who saw the good in people. Her favorite thing to say to her daddy was “dad, I’m mad”, even while she was smiling. If you knew Bella, then you know she did not go anywhere without a sock in her right hand, literally. Bella was Northern California Costal Pomo/Mescalero Apache, and she was so proud of her Native American Heritage! She often listened to her Native music and would even play her own on her drum. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Those left to cherish the memories of Bella is her father: Toby Marrujo and bonus mom Karen; mother, Rebecca Rodriguez-Pacheco and Step Dad Jose Pacheco; siblings: Michael Marrujo, Azalea Martinez, Angelica De Los Santos, Nathaniel Martinez (Edith), Josh Archuleta (Valerie), Greg Archuleta, Isaiah Rodriguez, Zaney Reynolds, Donovan Yruegas, and her baby sister, special playmate Joselyn Pacheco; Grandparents: Rebecca and Jose Moreno; aunts and uncles: Oshauna Garcia (Andres), Lisa Herrera (Gabriel), JoAnna Yruegas, Veronica Giron (John), Annise Moreno, Naomi Moreno; and nephew, Matthew Joshua Archuleta; and numerous cousins who all loved her very much.
Bella is preceded in death by her grandfather, Irvin Marrujo; Great-grandparents: Torivio Marrujo and Isabel Marrujo.
The family of Bella would like to send a special thank you to the cancer unit of Presbyterian Pediatrics in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A special thanks to Bo Kaydahzinne of the Mescalero Apache tribe for blessing her ashes and singing her final song.
Bella’s tribute was lovingly written by her family.
