Renee Johnson

Renee Alene Johnson, a long-time resident of Farmington NM, passed away on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM, while surrounded by her three loving children.  Renee was born February 27th, 1947 in South Bend, IN.  She dedicated herself in the field of nursing and aided in the healing of many lives.  In 2011 after thirty or more years as a LPN and Registered Nurse, Renee retired from San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington.  Her greatest work was her children.
Renee was loving, witty, and had a way of helping people see the humor in every situation.   A “foodie”, Renee loved talking about and sharing pictures of fun and interesting meals, she especially loved eating fresh lobster and crab cakes seaside at Roy Moore’s in Rockport, Mass. Renee had a passion for musicals and plays. Her favorite was The Wizard Of Oz, which inspired her great collection of memorabilia. Renee loved the beach and ocean and always looked forward to visiting the Gloucester area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Horton and Mel and Betty Coe.
Renee is survived by her loving children, Darrel Dench and wife Tanja of Gloucester, MA, Jason Johnson and wife Kellie of Oklahoma, Shawna Johnston and husband Frank of Albuquerque,NM; her precious grandchildren, Connor and Breana Dench, Kinsey, Levi and Bailey Johnson, Aubrie, Rylie and James Johnston.  Also surviving are her sister, Deborah Ciddio and husband Wayne of Albuquerque; her brother, Jerry Horton and wife Lois of San Antonio, TX; and numerous dear friends.
A Celebration of Renee's Life will take place Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Clair Winery, 901 Rio Grande Blvd., NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104.
A Memorial Tribute of Renee’s life will take place this summer in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
