Richard Martinez

Richard C. Martinez, age 82, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 1, 2018, while surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident Albuquerque, NM.  Richard was a carpenter by trade.  He served our country in the United States Air Force.  Richard enjoyed hunting and caring for his flower garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Veronica Martinez; his ex-wife Rosalie Martinez; his son, Richard Anthony Martinez; and a brother, Juan Martinez.

Richard is survived by his loving daughters, Pamela and Carla Martinez; his grandchildren, Antoinette and Anthony Baros; great-grandchildren, Selena, Raquel, and Isabella; his sisters, Gloria Medina (Ralph) and Marcela Abeyta (Bobby); and many other relatives and friends.  Richard will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

A Rosary will be recited Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth St. NW, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.  Inurnment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery.
