Robert Jaramillo

Robert Jaramillo, age 85, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, August 11, 2020, while surrounded by his loving family and friends.  He was born in Guadalupe, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque.  Robert was the owner and operator of Robert's Barber Shop,  located on the corner of 4th Street and Ortega for over 40 years.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and traveling.  Robert and his wife traveled to the Holy Land, and  celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary in Cana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nestor and Lucianita Jaramillo; two sons, Jerry and Joseph; siblings, Max, Candido, Johnnie, Felix, Richard, and Emilia Romero.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lucy Jaramillo; his children, Veronica Sanchez and husband Mark, Bobby Jaramillo; three precious grandchildren, Nicole Lucero (Richard), Amanda Sanchez, Marcus Jaramillo; two great-grandchildren, Marc and Ty Lucero; his brother, Libby Jaramillo; and other numerous loving relatives and friends.  Robert will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 17, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 3424 Fourth St., NW in Albuquerque.  Entombment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Mark Sanchez, Richard Lucero, Gilbert Gurule, Joshua Tafoya, Joey Lang and Sal Cisneros.  Honorary Bearer will be Marcus Jarmaillo.

Due to the Covid-19 Virus, No reception will be held.
