Roberta Baca

Roberta “Robbie” Patrice Baca, age 48, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at her home while surrounded by her loving family.  Robbie fought a courageous six-year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Fort Sumner, NM on August 23, 1970.  She attended Del Norte High School and later Central New Mexico Community College. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM where she worked for several years at S&M Moving Systems while raising her four children.

Robbie enjoyed cooking, anything crafty - card making and scrapbooking being her favorite, and her guiltiest pleasure was watching cheesy horror flicks. She also enjoyed the time she got to spend with her grandchildren Elijah and Zoe and her two dogs Milo & Gizmo.

Robbie was the proud mother of four grown children; Adrian Griego and wife Deserae, Nicholas Gurule, Alexcis Gurule, and Andres Gurule, whom she shared with, Carlos Gurule.  Also surviving are her father, James (Virginia) Aguilar; sisters, Luana (Jacob) Garcia, Tanya (Paul) Campbell; along with her grandchildren, Elijah and Zoe; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Robbie will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Robert Baca, and mother Angelina Rivera.

The family would like to thank the friends and caregivers that took care of Robbie since her cancer diagnosis in 2012.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday,February 25, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. 9502 4th St NW.  Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery located on Alameda Blvd. and Horizon.
