Rosina Barela

Rosina Pauline Barela, age 82, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, entered into the Lord's Kingdom, Thursday, March 16, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Santa Fe, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip A. Barela; her mother, Pauline Dominguez; and brother, Juan Rivera.

Rosina is survived by her loving children, Dori Castenada and husband Pete, Michael Barela, Mario Barela and wife Mabel, Phyllis Dakin and husband Tim, Patricia Bachicha and husband Leonard, Angela Conner and husband James, John Barela and wife Tina; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her siblings, Connie Blinzler, Pat and Mel Huberdeau, Ed and Betty Sandoval; and many other loving relatives and friends.  Rosina will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 7:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Angels at Garcia Mortuary, located on the corner of 8th Street and Iron.  Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 9:45 a.m.  Pallbearers will be Ben Bachicha, Mark Barela, Mathew Barela, Michael Barela, Andrew Montoya, and Bryant Black.
