Teresita Marquez

Teresita Maria Marquez, age 85, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 28, 2016, while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Chilili, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mercedes and Olympia Tapia; brother, George Tapia; and sister, Eulalia Padilla.

Teresita is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Henry Marquez; her children, Eva Brown and husband Eddie, Lupe Mitchell and husband James, Mary Gonzales and husband Ray, Diane Garduno and husband Manuel, Claude Marquez, and Debra Marquez; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Teresita will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW, followed by Mass at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jason Brown, Anthony Brown, Matthew Garduno, Jesse Gonzales, Maggie Lucero, and Margaret Jaramillo.
