Ret. MSgt. William Schroeder

Ret. MSgt. William Eugene Schroeder, age 78, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016.   He was a resident of Albuquerque, NM.  William was a proud Veteran who served his county in the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Thelma Schroeder; two sons, Charles and Michael Montoya.  William is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Christine Schroeder; five sons, Anthony, David, Richard, Robert, and Andrew Montoya; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Schroeder and wife Cora; sisters, Shirley Buttjer, Peggy Murphy, Roberta Flugge and husband Meldon, Nancy Beyersdorf and husband John; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  William will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, where Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m.   Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial contributions be made to the NM Veterans Spinal Cord Injury Division, c/o VA Hospital, 1501 San Pedro Dr., SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
